"Global Impact of Media on Migration Issues"  is a very informative handbook written by Nelson Okorie, Babatunde Raphael Ojebuyi and Juliet Wambui Machari. 

The research handbook looks into the relationship between migration and news systems. News have the ability to convey mass messages regarding disputes within migrated nations. "Global Impact of Media on Migration Issues" provides emerging research exploring implications of media institutions tackling migration issues and related problems. The detailed handbook covers a range of subjects including human trafficking, global peace, and modern slavery.

One of the case studies in the handbook examines Türkgücü München, which is a German association football club from the city of Munich, Bavaria. The club, which is based in the Turkish community of Munich, was formed in a merger of Türkischer SV 1975 München and ATA Spor München. 

Originally, the football team played in the lowest tiers of Munich amateur football, but with the sponsorship and presidency of Ergun Berksoy the club advanced to Bayernliga in 1988. The club gained tremendous success in the German-Turkish community and began to aim even for professional football. Bundesliga volleyball at Türkgücü München also excelled in this era. In 1988 women volleyball team took third place in the 1st Bundesliga with the national players Danuta Niemietz , Nina Sawatzki and Michaela Luckner.

The success of Türkgücü München in football and volleyball was a very symbolic achievement within the Turkish migrant community. Ergun Berksoy is quoted in the handbook explaining this symbolic achievement: " The aim here is to allow Turkish people that have been oppressed and treated as second class citizens to gain individuality and gather them all together. Secondly, when the facilities and opportunities are provided it proves that a young Turkish person can be as successful as a young German person. The third main reason is to keep the Turkish youth away from coffeehouses and various trends and to steer them to the correct direction." (TRT Arsiv, 2019)
